Work and Organizational Psychology Master program

The Work and Organizational Psychology Master program was started in the autumn of 2009.

The curriculum of the Master degree corresponds to the requirements established by European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology (EAWOP). By meeting these standards we enable our students to acquire the European Psychologist Diploma (EuroPsy).

The main objective of the curricula is to preparing graduate students in Psychology to become competent professionals in the field of work, organization and human resource psychology.

The structure of the master program is based on competencies, applying critical thinking, problem solving, individual and team research and assessment practices.

Internship opportunities are provided by our department for the practical courses. The student activity during the internship is supervised by the professionals of Hungarian Association of Psychology.

Besides providing practice based education the master degree offers an opportunity for the students to take part in research projects form the applied filed of work and organizational psychology. Research oriented students have to opportunity to continue their studies at the Work and Organizational PhD program.

A BA degree in Psychology is required to apply for the MA program.

It is a 2 year/4 semester program, with 120 credit worth of 1680 contact classes (420 hours of classes per semester).

There types of courses, based on: Work (W), Organizational (O), and Personnel (P) Psychology, but it is also possible to choose (some) courses from other fields related closely to work and organizational psychology.

Work and Organizational postgraduate education

The Work and organizational postgraduate education program was established in 1995, since than 200 professionals graduated successfully.

The curriculum was designed to provide the training and knowledge of employee recruitment and selection, compensation, performance appraisal, trainings, leadership, strategic decision making, organizational behaviour, organizational development change strategies.

This is a 2 year/4 semester program.

Entry requirements: BA an MA degree in Psychology; minimum one year professional experience.

The next program will start in the fall of 2010.
